  Dr Glavin has been my dentist for 10 years and until now, I was very happy with him. However, I no longer trust his business. Dr. Glavin's office gave me a pre-treatment estimate of $600 for a procedure I was considering. This was affordable, and I agreed to have the procedure without seeking another opinion. But a few weeks after the procedure, I was stunned to discover that the actual charge was nearly $3000. There was also an additional charge for a follow-up visit which I had previously been told was included in the original estimate. I would never have agreed to such an expense without shopping around first! Their explanation? They had submitted the wrong amount for the pre-treatment estimate. They refused to honor the price they had quoted to me - their own written estimate! After several weeks of phone calls, they adjusted my bill somewhat. But I still paid far, far more than I had originally been told. My insurance is maxed out for the year. No more cleanings. Even though I believe it was an honest mistake, the point is that the business doesn't take full responsibility for its errors. I'd rather do business with someone whose word I can trust. :-(

  The most comprehensive dental exam I have ever had, and I only requested a cleaning. Unlike many dentist offices, they don't rush you in and out; the cleaning was an hour and a half, and the follow up was another 90 minutes entirely with (the superbly knowledgeable) Dr. Glavin: pictures of every interior angle of the mouth, a full neck/throat/gum/teeth exam, oral cancer screening, investigation of possible sleep issues (apnea, etc) and lymph nodes. 10/10

  Jo Anne (one of the dental hygienist) is one of the most friendly, sweetest, most personable dental hygienist I have ever met. From the minute I met her to the minute I left she was smiling and making me smile! She didn't hurt my gums at all during my cleaning, she was super kind to me and was constantly starting conversation with me.
